Shipping
Orders are shipped Monday – Friday and most orders ship within 2 - 3 business days (imprinted, large, and custom orders may require additional time). We ship orders via USPS and R&L Freight. All items are shipped FULLY INSURED. Shipping rates are generated using the current USPS shipping rate schedule. Orders are shipped signature required in some cases. If you need to make special shipping arrangements, please email DIY-Hydro. Any delay on delivery by the shipping company is not cause for refund of shipping and will not effect any of the fees associated with the item. Any delay due to attempted delivery of an order is not cause for refund of shipping and will not effect any of the fees associated with the item.
International orders take an additional 2-3 days to confirm the validity of the credit card. Some international orders make take a few days longer before shipping. All international packages are subject to customs inspections and may be delayed several days. All customs fees are the customer´s responsibility, packages refused because of customs fees will be charged the return postage. Please contact us before placing an international order to get the correct amount for shipping. Not all international orders can be placed through our website. All international orders are shipped showing actual value for customs. By law we can not change or lower the amount. We ship to the address you provide. Please check the information you enter for accuracy. We will not be responsible for mistyped information or addresses. This may cause a delay in shipping or an extra charge. Please check your conformation email for the accuracy of your address, contact us immediately if you encounter an error.
Returns
30-Day Return Policy
DIY-Hydro offers a 30-day return policy on most items purchased through our website with the following exceptions:
- Any liquid nutrient, enhancer, or other additive that has been opened or that may have been altered or tampered with is not eligible for return.
- Any electronic good that has been opened is not eligible for return.
- Any bulb or other glass product that has been cracked or otherwise broken is not eligible for return. If the glass was damaged during transit, please refer to the "Items Damaged in Transit" section below.
Some items are too large to ship via USPS and must be shipped on a truck. Please be aware that DIY-Hydro will not refund shipping charges on items that are returned. It is the customer's responsibility to pay return shipping costs. These charges may be substantial when using a trucking company, so we encourage customers to consider this when ordering large/heavy items.
Unopened Items: Items that are unopened and undamaged, will receive a full refund, minus any shipping and handling fees (unless otherwise noted in the product description). Special order items, as well as items that are shipped directly from the manufacturer/distributor may be subject to a restocking fee. In most cases, a refund will be issued via the same method that was used for payment.
Non-Defective Items That Have Been Opened and/or Used: Items must be placed in their original packaging and include all packaging materials, printed materials, warranty cards, plastic bags, twist ties, etc. and be in resalable condition. Notification of missing pieces BEFORE returning an item is required, simply contact us and let us know. Customer will be charged a fee or the return may be refused if merchandise is returned with missing and/or damaged components. Non-defective items that have been opened or used may be subject to shipping, handling, and restocking fees, depending on their condition and our discretion.
Defective Items: During the 30-day return period, any defective item returns will be handled by DIY-Hydro. After the 30-day return period, refer to the manufacturer's warranty. Items returned as defective during the first 30 days of ownership will be replaced by DIY-Hydro or fully refunded less shipping & handling fees. If an item is returned to DIY-Hydro as defective, and it is determined that there is nothing wrong with the product, then the customer (you) will be responsible for any shipping & handling fees incurred as well as a restocking fee. This will also be the case if anything has been done to the product to void the warranty.
Items Damaged in Transit: If an item arrives damaged, inform the delivery driver or simply tell the driver that you are refusing the package because it has been damaged. Damages that occur during shipping are the responsibility of the shipping company. We will be happy to help expedite the process and send replacement items ASAP. Please do not hesitate to report damaged items, as some shipping companies have strict time requirements that limit their liability.
Return Procedure: Please email DIY-Hydro to request an Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions for a return. Please provide:
- Customer Name
- Order Number
- Reason for Return
We strongly urge customers who are returning an item to insure it, as we are NOT responsible for return shipping damages or loss. Please write your RMA number in large letters on the outside of the shipping container to avoid having it sent back to you unopened. The RMA number issued to you will be good for up to 21 days, but the items must still be sent back to us within the 30-day return period. Refunds will be applied only to the original customer´s account used for the original purchase after the returned item has been recieved. Unauthorized returns will be refused.
International Customers: All shipping charges, customs, duties and taxes are the resonsibility of the customer whether or not the item is warrantable. These fees will also apply to any shipment of a replacement or repaired item sent back to you. These are not fees that DIY-Hydro imposes nor are they fees we can absorb due to our low pricing, please consider this when placing your order.
